Philosophy
With over 30 years of architectural experience, our referral based firm has demonstrated a blend of creative professionalism and technical skill on commissions ranging from distinctive single family homes to large commercial developments.
We see each client relationship as a unique opportunity and a challenge – to create timeless integrity with appropriate style.
Each of us is defined by the spaces we inhabit, their materials and aesthetic forms, the expressed distillation of our desire for comfort, function and beauty.
Design
An accomplished architect must be a patient listener to creatively respond to the client’s personal aesthetic. Good design continues throughout construction, with each element serving to define and illuminate the concept as a whole. We work closely with a variety of engineering consultants to design a structure that will withstand our demanding environmental conditions.
Economics
Each project demands careful design, practical solutions to difficult situations, thoughtful selection of contractors and use of the best materials the budget can support. Cost estimates are most accurate when the Contract Documents and Specifications are complete in every detail.
Planning
Planning for the overall site and the design/construction process is critical. Comprehensive knowledge of codes and zoning, with a clear understanding of Hawaii’s construction means and methods is essential to successfully create architecture in Hawaii. We provide full architectural services from initial site selection through the design, construction documents, permitting, bidding, construction, interior design, and final occupancy.
Documentation
The Construction Documents are essential to the execution of good design. They must be well drawn, precisely written and complete in every detail. Our firm performs all services with Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) systems with three dimensional modeling capabilities.
Development
Because we have personally developed a number of commercial and residential projects, we understand and can respond to the owner’s need for economy, flexibility and marketability from conception through occupancy.
